More Information ...

FREE NHS Medicines Use Review: All patients with long-term conditions taking medication (and who have had their medication dispensed at one of our pharmacies for at least 3 months) can have an annual Medicines Use Review. The review takes place in private with a suitably accredited pharmacist who will help you get the best out of your medicines. The review lasts about 10-15 minutes.

FREE NHS New Medicines Service: When you are prescribed a medicine to treat a long-term condition for the first time, the pharmacist will support you to use the medicine safely and to best effect. The pharmacist will talk to you approximately two weeks after you first receive the medicine to see how you are getting on with it and to discuss any problems you may have. A second follow-up will be a month after you first receive the medicine. The service is only available to people using certain medicines; our pharmacist will give you details and offer this free NHS service, if this is available to you.

Free* Smoking Cessation Service: Want to give up smoking? Come and talk to our smoking cessation advisors who help you to quit, with motivational support and appropriate products. (*chargeable to prescription charge-paying patients if products are supplied).

Health Advice and Self-Care: The pharmacist and our trained assistants are available for advice on all medicines and minor ailments (in private if required). Both pharmacies are Healthy Living Pharmacies and we have trained Healthy Living Champions who can assist with information to help you stay healthy. For example, they can advise on weight management, alcohol consumption and exercise.

Holiday Healthcare: We can advise on medical requirements for travellers, including anti-malaria treatments.

Emergency Hormonal Contraception: EHC is available if appropriate for you (following confidential discussion with the pharmacist). Speak to one of the pharmacists without delay.
